Why yes, I do enjoy finding these alternative views lol, so here's another for Dead Space.
Before you dismember me with plasma cutters hear me out. Think about the first game (or the first poster I made if you looked at it), it was about Isaac taking the job to see if Nicole was safe. Despite probably knowing she was dead (he did have the full video of her death after all) he still went and put himself through hell, and throughout the second game he keeps seeing her because of dementia, grief etc. Part of the main story is the poor guy going through this heartbreak, losing the one he loves, you've gotta feel sorry for him. I think this is another reason he's such a good character, because he really is just human, not some bulky mercenary, not a dark mysterious agent, just a real ordinary guy experiencing real emotional anguish (I'm sure there are people here who know of this =[ )
To the team behind dead space, you've crafted an amazing character and story; very well done.
The walkthroughs and videos of dead space that had parts of audio of people warning the listener (Issac) of the "infection" and all the dead bodies that you see makes me want to cry, because.
Even if it isnt real, it hurts me so much for all the people who lost so much. (The characters and the people who went insane and killed themselves)
This can really be seen near the end of Dead Space 2, when he finally accepts the Nicole specter and she returns to "normal".
I simply wish he would have talked like he did in Dead Space 2, would have added a whole lot more emotion into that game. Though i all fairness, he did lower his head in what seemed to be pure grief and anguish when he learned the truth about Nicole. That was one detail that i simply adored.
